OPPi in the classroom

What is OPPi and how does it help educators?

OPPi is a regenerative engagement exercise that encourages and empowers passive students to become active learners. Unlike existing tools, OPPi builds consensus in the classroom by creating a safe space for open discussion.

Essentially, OPPi is a hybrid of a focus group discussion and a typical survey form.

How we can learn better

Bringing OPPi to the classrooms

Why should I use OPPi?

OPPi allows educators to pave the way for a more participatory style of learning in their classrooms through emergent or wiki-surveys.

It helps students to

  • Actively practice inquiry-based learning with real-world situations
  • Find empathy from common ground
  • Know the value of dialogue, collaboration and deep reflection
  • Build consensus and heal divides
  • Be empowered to have open discussion in safe spaces and become active learners
